Bad quality, but still watchable. 8mm footage of the close to the edge tour 1972. I poorly dubbed the audio from Columbia, MD 1972. So excuse me if the audio is not synched correctly as the footage quality is not that good.

I dubbed the audio from the actual performance since this excerpt is from a swedish music documentary so that you don't have to hear any voice-overs during the clip.

I saw Jimmy Page performance stairway to heaven in 1988 from front row. The singer walked off the stage the crowd is the one that sang the song. Being one of 15,000 people singing the song was an incredible experience.

Class 8th, a little kid in Northern india heard this on a borrowed pendrive from a friend, this exact clip in 2009 and i thought it was the greatest music i had ever heard. I ran down to my mom and i wanted to learn how to play the guitar just so i could play this riff.

If it was someone else playing this terrible solo people would have been trashing that person. But somehow JP trashing his own solo is considered "genius".

It's crazy to think from the release of 'Stairway to Heaven' to the release on Nirvana's 'Smells Like Teen Spirit' is the same amount of time since Snoop Dogg's 'Drop it Like it's Hot' to today..... Not a whole lot of good music anymore.

I’m not a fan of Led Zeppelin. I was one of those punk kids that thought they were the worst thing ever, and I still have deep reservations about them. That said, I find this performance very poignant. It’s not Jimmy Page’s finest hour, to put it kindly, and it’s sad to see him in absolutely dire condition. Nevertheless, there is something touching about this. The Clash will always be the only band that matters to me, but I do have a soft spot in my heart for Jimmy Page and as difficult as this is to watch, I can’t hate on it. Glad he made it out the other side so I can still complain about Led Zeppelin.
